To deepen their work as eating disorder therapists, Zoe and Maria attended the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals conference for the first time not knowing any one else in attendance.

Serendipitously, the two waited after the same lecture to ask questions and learn more. They later went to lunch and found similarities personally and professionally that budded into a wonderful relationship as colleagues and friends. The two have much in common surrounding their goals of advocacy, awareness, and education in the eating disorder community.

Inspired by their connection and knowing how few eating disorder providers there are, Maria and Zoe were determined to support the community they love so much and now co-own The Weight Of It All, LLC, as well as the associated podcast, “On The Mic With ED.”

Zoe will be featured in the documentary “The Bond That Broke” about the generational aspects of eating disorders that is set to premier in 2025, with Maria as a content consultant and featured expert in the film.
